After 25 years of racing, riding, coaching and leading bike rides, I believe that training can be broken down into two categories – simple and complicated. Both offer unique benefits to cyclists.
Simple training gives you fitness and endurance.
Complicated training methods are effective at giving you peak performance after you have fitness and endurance. This type of training is best administered by a professional coach.

- “100” means that your goal event distance is 100 miles
- “60” is for 60 miles
- “40” is for 40 miles
